What happens to your materials

Materials you paste are stored in your exam workspace on ExamHack and are tied to your account. Other ExamHack users cannot read them.

You can paste text directly, or select supported files (TXT, MD, DOCX, PPTX, PDF). Original file binaries are parsed locally in your browser and are not uploaded. Only the extracted text is stored server-side in your workspace.

When you run extraction, the extracted text of the materials in that exam workspace is transmitted through the Lovable AI Gateway to the configured model provider (currently Google Gemini) for analysis. The model returns a list of topics and short evidence snippets. ExamHack then computes the priority scoring and ranking in its own TypeScript code — the model does not produce the score.

Don't paste anything into ExamHack that you wouldn't be comfortable sending through an AI provider for processing.

Deleting an exam removes its materials, topics, and focus plan from your workspace. Some normal backend retention (for example, short-lived logs) may apply.
